Product design in the age of AI: Embracing the shift

The AI revolution is here, transforming how products are built and value is delivered. Qubika is leading this shift, evolving into an AI-native company that blends AI’s power with human creativity and strategic design thinking.

Product Design in the Age of AI 2

Design at the forefront of the AI revolution

The AI revolution isn’t coming — it’s already here. Companies across industries are rethinking how they build products, automate processes, and deliver user value. And design sits right at the center of this transformation.

At Qubika, we’ve chosen not just to react but to lead — evolving into an AI-native company with humans at the helm. Our mission is to leverage the power of AI while maintaining the creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking that define great product design.

Embracing AI the right way requires balance, and that is why we always keep the following in mind:

  • Stay flexible, because yesterday’s breakthrough is today’s expectation
  • Stay strategic, because tools evolve but design thinking endures
  • Stay human, because behind every data point is a person with real needs

What this means for designers

We strongly believe that AI isn’t replacing designers — it’s reshaping what we do and how we do it. To thrive in this rapidly evolving landscape, we moved from a focus on pixel-level perfection to architecting strategic products. Today’s designers must craft complex user journeys, design for intelligent behaviors, and collaborate closely with data-driven engineering teams to deliver products that are both market-relevant and truly user-centered.

Staying ahead means continually upskilling, expanding our technical fluency, and moving upstream in the product development lifecycle — asking better questions, designing with AI constraints in mind, and ensuring our solutions are scalable, contextual, and aligned with business goals.

The outcome? Greater impact, stronger multidisciplinary collaboration, and more room for innovation in every project.

Accelerating with AI

To keep pace with AI’s evolution, staying informed is not enough. That is why our experts are working on multiple ways to empower our processes with existing tools as well as creating our own. Some of these initiatives include:

  • Figma-to-front-end: Our team has been actively experimenting with tools like Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, and Cline— with customized agentic modes and MCPs—to reduce development friction. These efforts have already led to a 45% decrease in boilerplate code writing. Now, we’re taking the next step by prototyping our own Figma MCPs to translate and convert from Frames to componentized code in existing code architectures.

  • Design smarter, not harder: Our designers are integrating AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Magic Patterns, Lovable, and Figma’s built-in AI to speed up everyday tasks and keep momentum in the creative process. We use AI to brainstorm feature ideas, generate quick UX copy, or explore layout suggestions in Figma’s AI built-in features when kicking off a new screen.
  • Figma-to-Jira: Developing AI workflows that automatically generate Jira tickets from Figma frames, preserving design context and cutting down the time PMs spend on manual documentation.
  • AI-powered content generation: Using our agnostic multi-agent platform to build intelligent assistants for our clients, dramatically reducing the time it takes to scale personalized, AI-driven experiences.

These aren’t just ideas — they’re tools and methodologies we’re using, testing, and refining to unlock more time for creative, strategic work.

Where design is headed (and why we’re excited)

We can’t predict the future, but we do have a front-row seat to design’s evolution—becoming more embedded in business strategy, more influential in product decisions, and more empowered by data and intelligence than ever before.

This is an exhilarating time to be a designer. The challenges are real: How do we maintain creative intuition in an increasingly automated landscape? How do we keep the human connection alive?

The path ahead isn’t fixed, but we’re not just ready for the challenges—we’re actively shaping what design means in an AI-native world, one human interaction at a time.
